Two workers have been injured while working on the Longfellow Bridge Monday afternoon, according to the Massachusetts State Police.
According to the Boston Fire Department, the workers were about 35 feet down an empty shaft where the bridge towers are, receiving concrete from above.

The chutes that poured the concrete gave way and injured the two workers below and left them trapped. Rescuers secured and raised the injured workers. They were transported to the hospital, according to the Boston Fire Department.
