Police: Conn. Man in Skirt, Wig Assaulted Homeless Person

Connecticut police say a man wearing a skirt and a wig hit a homeless man at a McDonald’s over the head with a bottle Friday night, according to media reports.

Reinaldo Baez, 49, of Waterbury was charged with second-degree assault after the 11:30 p.m. incident at the Torrington McDonald’s, according to the Hartford Courant.

NBC Connecticut reported police found 47-year-old Alan Plocke, who said he is homeless, bleeding from a head injury. Police said Plocke and Baez had gotten into an argument in the parking lot.

Baez was held on a $10,000 cash bond, according to the Register Citizen, which referred to court documents stating the man suffers from mental illness and was wearing a skirt and blonde wig during the time of the incident.

Plocke was taken to an area hospital for treatment for the head injury and a hip wound he said he received when Baez hit him with a hammer, the Citizen reported. He was later released.
