Firefighters battled a two-alarm warehouse blaze at 282 Lynnway near Market Street in downtown Lynn Thursday, which also spread to moving trucks parked at an adjacent U-Haul rental location.

Northbound Lynnway near Commercial Street was shut down for the operation, Massachusetts State Police reported, slowing traffic to a crawl. The road has since re-opened for traffic.

WBZ reporter Bernice Corpuz reports that a firefighter was transported to the hospital with minor heat injuries. Witnesses reportedly saw firefighters attending to another victim.

Homeless people were known to live in the building.

The call came into firefighters just after 3 p.m. Thursday.

We’ll update the story as much information becomes available.
