Firefighters Respond to Fire at Logan Airport

Firefighters responded to a small fire at Logan Airport after a conveyor belt malfunctioned just before 9 p.m. near the American Airlines baggage claim.

At least one witness reported seeing smoke billowing inside of the terminal and later smelling it outside.

Massport spokesman Dan Riviello said the fire was extinguished in under 15 minutes and that no one was injured in the incident.

The best part? Everyone’s luggage escaped unscathed, Riviello said.

Authorities continue to investigate the cause of the fire.
