City officials say they will announce plans for a celebration of the Red Sox’ World Series championship. Boston Duck Tours said on Twitter immediately after the game that the parade would be held Saturday, although the city did not immediately confirm the day or provide other details.
Officials at the University of Massachusetts’ flagship campus in Amherst say 15 people — 14 of them students — were arrested in the aftermath of the Boston Red Sox’ victory in the World Series. In Boston, police said on Twitter that they’d arrested nine people for unruly behavior.
