Colleges list commencement speakers

Here is who will be speaking at area colleges' commencement exercises:

Babson College

Paul J. Orfalea, founder of Kinko's, will speak at 10 a.m. May 15 at the undergraduate ceremony. Indra Nooyi, president and chief financial officer of PepsiCo. Inc., will speak at 2:30 p.m. at the graduate ceremony.

An honorary degree will be given to Andronico Luksic Jr., vice chairman of the board of Banco de Chile.

Bentley College

R. Marcelo Claure, chairman, CEO, and president of Brightstar Corp., will speak at 10 a.m. May 15 at the undergraduate ceremony. Gary Hirshberg, president and CEO of Stonyfield Farm, will speak at 3 p.m. at the graduate ceremony. Both will receive honorary degrees.

Boston College

Tim Russert, NBC's Washington bureau chief and moderator of ''Meet The Press," will speak at 9:30 a.m. May 24.

Honorary degrees will be given to: the Rev. Dr. Ray Hammond, president of the 10 Point Coalition, a clergy group that works with urban youth; Blenda Wilson, president and CEO of the Nellie Mae Education Foundation; Tom Busch, general manager of KNOM-AM and FM in Nome, Alaska, the oldest Catholic radio station in the United States; and Sister Katarina Schuth, a leading author on seminary reform.

Brandeis University

James D. Wolfensohn, president of the World Bank Group, will speak at 11 a.m. May 23.

Honorary degrees will be given to: Kweisi Mfume, president and CEO of the NAACP; scientist Elizabeth H. Blackburn; Lester Crown, chairman of the manufacturing firm Henry Crown and Co.; Richard J. Goldstone, justice of the Constitutional Court of South Africa; and philanthropist Bernard Osher.

Dean College

Dean College president Paula M. Rooney delivered her ninth commencement address yesterday.

Framingham State College

Aaron Spencer, vice chairmain of the Massachusetts Board of Higher Education, will speak at 2 p.m. May 23.

Lasell College

Dr. Timothy Johnson, a medical and health care journalist, author, and minister, will speak May 16.

Regis College

Dr. David Satcher, former US surgeon general and current director of the National Center for Primary Care at the Morehouse College School of Medicine, will speak at 10 a.m. May 16. Satcher and Nancy Valentine of Cigna Healthcare will receive honorary degrees.

Wellesley College

Toni Morrison, Nobel laureate and author, will speak at 10:30 a.m. May 28.
