Joining her will be Duxbury resident Carol Jacobson, who spent two years in the country in the early 1950s. Razia will be collecting children's shoes and donations for "Operation Shoe Fly," an effort with the US Army to bring sturdy shoes to orphaned children. Marshfield: Family overnight kayaking -- Mass. Audubon and the North and South Rivers Watershed Association is organizing two overnight camping and kayaking adventures, today and tomorrow. Kayak the 14-mile North River and camp at Couch Beach, led by naturalists Doug Lowry and Jill Cowie. Boats, camping gear, and dinner provided (bring two lunches). Plymouth: Pilgrim Hall Museum -- 75 Court St. The oldest public museum in continuous operation in America was founded in 1824 by Mayflower descendants. Home to a collection of Pilgrim and Native-American artifacts including Peregrine white cradle, Bradford Bible, only portrait of a Pilgrim (Edward Winslow) painted from life, earliest sampler made in America, and more. Through May 2005, "In Sickness & In Health: Medicine in the Old Colony 1620-1920," celebrating the physicians of Plymouth Colony from Samuel Fuller of the Mayflower to modern doctors. Braintree: Sylvanus Thayer Birthplace and Museum -- 786 Washington St. The home of General Sylvanus Thayer features exhibits of Braintree history, period furniture and artifacts from Braintree's decorative fan industry.
