Ralph Jackson, 54, prepared taxes

QUINCY -- Ralph E. Jackson, a tax preparer for H&R Block in Quincy, died Nov. 5 at the Quincy Medical Center. He was 54.

Born in Quincy, Mr. Jackson was a lifelong resident of the town. He graduated from North Quincy High School in 1969 and Quincy Junior College in 1975. He worked for H&R Block as a tax preparer the past eight years. He was a former member of the Knights of Columbus in Quincy.

He enjoyed photography, chess, and sports. He played basketball in high school and college and was a fan of Quincy's high school football teams.

He leaves three brothers, Richard P. of Quincy and Ronald F. and Roger D., both of Florida; and three sisters, Franziska M. Mantia and Paula M., both of Quincy, and Donna M. Caramela of Rhode Island.

Samuel Anastasia, taught high school

PEMBROKE -- Samuel P. Anastasia Jr., a former teacher at the Southeastern Regional Vocational Technical High School in Easton, died Nov. 2 at Brockton Hospital after being ill for several months. He was 73.

Born in Malden, Mr. Anastasia was raised and educated in Milford and Quincy. He graduated from Wentworth Institute of Technology in Boston and was a machine technology teacher at the Southeastern Regional Vocational Technical High School for more than 20 years. He later worked as a substitute teacher at the South Shore Regional Vocational Technical High School in Hanover.

He was a member of the Old Colony Sportsmen's Association in Pembroke and the Percy Walker Pool Club in Duxbury. He enjoyed gardening, fishing, swimming, and going to yard sales. He helped in various Pembroke town departments, including working at town elections.

He leaves his wife, Barbara A. (Vincent); two sons, Samuel P. III of Holly Hills, Fla., and James V. of Pembroke; three daughters, Roseann Durrant of Auburn, Maine, and Sandra McKenna and Maryann Elsner, both of Plymouth; two brothers, Peter of Hadley and Richard of Westerly, R.I.; and two grandchildren.

Lucille Fuller, 88, drove school bus

PLYMOUTH -- Lucille E. (Meader) Fuller, a former bus driver for Weymouth Public Schools and a homemaker, died Nov. 3 at the Life Care Center of Plymouth. She was 88.

Born in Boston, Mrs. Fuller lived in Hyde Park, moving to Weymouth in 1946 and then to Plymouth in 1979. She was a homemaker but also worked for five years as a bus driver for Hudson Bus Co. serving the Weymouth Public Schools.

She was a past officer of the Rebecca Lodge in Weymouth. She loved to cook, and was an avid Red Sox fan.

She leaves three sons, Russell G. Jr. of Weymouth, Frederick R. of Wareham, and Glenn R. of Plymouth; nine grandchildren; and 13 great-grandchildren.

Evelyn O'Leary, hairdresser, 86

HALIFAX -- Evelyn M. (Graham) O'Leary, a retired hairdresser, died Oct. 30 at the Colony House Nursing and Rehabilitation Center in Abington after being ill for several months. She was 86.

Mrs. O'Leary was born in Canton and raised and educated in Canton, Brockton, and Stoughton. She moved to Halifax in the mid-1950s and worked as a self-employed hairdresser.

She leaves a son, Paul B. of Halifax; a daughter, Debra M. of Halifax; and two grandchildren.
