Sadie Flinn, 88;worked for IRS

TEWKSBURY -- Sadie L. (Carty) Flinn, 88, of Tewksbury, a former employee of the Internal Revenue Service, died Nov. 3 at her home in Tewksbury.

Born in Belleville, Nova Scotia, Mrs. Flinn moved to Wakefield as a young child and returned to Nova Scotia at the age of 12. In 1963, she moved to Malden and lived in Tewksbury since 1970.

Mrs. Flinn worked as a stitcher at Decan Sportswear in Malden, and later worked for the Internal Revenue Service in Andover.

She was a member and dedicated volunteer at St. William's Church in Tewksbury. She also served as a eucharistic minister.

Mrs. Flinn was especially fond of the time spent with her children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren.

She leaves three daughters, Sharon Marceau of Quebec, Carolyn Mederios of Tewksbury, and Irene Frontain of Methuen; three sons, William of Nova Scotia, Grant of Tewksbury, and Randall of New Brunswick; 16 grandchildren; and 15 great-grandchildren.

Scott Donovan, 42; co-owned company

BEDFORD, N.H. -- Scott D. Donovan, 42, of Bedford, co-owner of Donovan Spring and Equipment Co., died Nov. 2 at the Catholic Medical Center in Manchester.

Mr. Donovan was born in Methuen, Mass. He attended Avon Old Farms School in Connecticut and earned a bachelor's degree in communications from Northeastern University in 1986.

Mr. Donovan was co-owner of Donovan Spring and Equipment Co. in Londonderry and a member of the Manchester Country Club.

Friends said Mr. Donovan had a tremendous sense of humor, and that he loved his family, cats, and dogs. At age 14, he became and remained a University of Nebraska Cornhuskers football fan.

He leaves his wife of two years, Jennifer (Pinard), a daughter, Kylie of Bedford; his parents, Donald and Carol (LaBrecque) of Bedford; a sister, Darlene of Boston; and his grandmother, Mary LaBrecque of Methuen, Mass..

Patrick Squillante, truck driver; at 39

MALDEN -- Patrick M. Squillante, 39, a truck driver and former bar owner, died Nov. 4 after being shot at his residence in Malden.

Police are investigating his death and had not released further information as of Tuesday.

Born in Boston, Mr. Squillante lived in Medford for most of his life. He attended St. Francis of Assisi Elementary School and graduated from Medford High School.

Mr. Squillante was the owner of the former Medford Street Bar and Grill. Most recently, Mr. Squillante had begun construction on a five-unit condominium while working as a truck driver for DHL Worldwide Express. He was also a member of the Teamsters Union Local 25.

Mr. Squillante, an avid sports fan, also enjoyed spending time with his friends.

Mr. Squillante leaves his parents, Mary (D'Alessandro) and Pasquale of Medford; two sisters, Marie Bachelder of Medford and Denise of North Reading; and several nieces and nephews.

Richard Patterson, Army veteran; at 59

READING -- Richard A. Patterson, 59, a medical technologist, died Nov. 3 at his home in Reading. Born in Haverhill, Mr. Patterson was a longtime resident of Reading.

He served in the Army during the Vietnam War, and was a medical technologist for Tufts-New England Medical Center for many years.

Mr. Patterson leaves a sister, Patrice of Long Beach, Calif. .
