Giovannina Rosapane, a parishioner at Our Lady of Mount Carmel church in East Boston, prays before The Blessed Madonna, the 100-year-old original statue which many parishioners believe fell in a "miraculous" event five minutes after the last Mass at the church. Rosapane, 80, is one of about 30 parishioners who are maintaining a vigil at the church in hopes of keeping it from closing.
