Gloucester fisherman Russell Sherman needs no introduction to the hazards of his profession. On a cold November night in 1977, he was the engineer of a fishing boat that sank in rough seas off the coast of Maine. Two crew members were lost. Sherman, rescued by a Coast Guard patrol boat, was among three who survived. (Full article: 973 words)
