Randy Phillips, 51; was a dentist

FRAMINGHAM -- Randy Phillips, a dentist, died Jan. 29. He was 51.

Mr. Phillips was born in New York and grew up in Manhasset Hills on Long Island. He was a graduate of Herricks High School in New Hyde Park, N.Y., Boston University, and Harvard Dental School. He had lived in Framingham for many years.

Mr. Phillips had a large dental practice in Shrewsbury. He enjoyed many sports, especially tennis, and was an active member in his Jewish community.

Mr. Phillips leaves a son, Harris of Boston and Framingham; a fiancee, Elaine Villemier of Sharon; two sisters, Marlane Pinkowitz of Sharon and Lori Cohen of Weston, Fla.; two stepsisters, Sheryl Hirsch of Needham and Leslie of New Britain, Conn.; and his stepmother, Aileen of Pompano Beach, Fla.

A service was held Feb. 1 in Stanetsky Memorial Chapels in Brookline. Burial was in Cedar Park Cemetery in Paramus, N.J.

William Conners Jr., Post Office official

FRANKLIN -- William J. Conners Jr., a retired assistant superintendent of operations of the Franklin Post Office, died Feb. 2 in Milford Regional Medical Center. He was 87.

Mr. Conners was born and raised in Auburndale and had lived in Franklin since 1965. He was a graduate of Bentley College.

He had worked for the Postal Service for many years before retiring. He worked at the Franklin, Roslindale, and West Newton post offices.

Mr. Conners served in the Army during World War II, achieving the rank of sergeant. Among his various awards are two bronze service stars, European African Middle Eastern Theater Campaign Ribbons, and an American Theater Ribbon.

For many years, Mr. Conners volunteered to serve meals at the Franklin Senior Center. He had also been an usher at St. Mary's Church in Franklin, and was a member and past grand knight of the Newton Knights of Columbus.

Mr. Conners leaves a son, Timothy A. of Medfield; a daughter, Susan A. Girolamo of Franklin; and five grandchildren. He was the husband of the late Anne (Ryan) Conners and the brother of the late Frances Conners.

A funeral Mass was said Saturday in St. Mary's Church in Franklin. Burial was in Calvary Cemetery in Waltham.

Charles P. Lindgren; was civil engineer

FRANKLIN -- Charles P. Lindgren died Feb. 2 at the Franklin Skilled Nursing and Rehabilitation Center. He was 75.

Mr. Lindgren was born in Oak Park, Ill., and lived in St. Thomas in the US Virgin Islands before he relocated to Franklin.

A graduate of Illinois Institute of Technology, Mr. Lindgren received a degree in civil engineering. He worked as a civil engineer, architect, and builder.

Mr. Lindgren served in the Navy during the Korean War. He attained the rank of lieutenant junior grade and served aboard a destroyer escort ship.

He leaves a daughter, Erica L. Mullaney of Medfield; a son, Charles L. of Minneapolis; and three grandchildren.

Services and burial were private.

Juliette M. Polastri; was a homemaker

FRANKLIN -- Juliette M. (Duquette) Polastri, a homemaker, died Jan. 30 at the Blaire House in Milford. She was 91.

Born, raised, and educated in Uxbridge, Mrs. Polastri had lived in Franklin since 1946.

Mrs. Polastri was a member of the Franklin Senior Citizens and the AARP. She was a communicant of St. Mary's Church.

Mrs. Polastri leaves four daughters, Patricia A. McPhie and Sandra J. McMullen of Wareham, Victoria E. Prairie of Whitinsville, and Debra L. Tredeau of Northbridge; three brothers, Donald Duquette of Northbridge, Ralph Duquette of Whitinsville, and Robert Duquette; two sisters, Pearl Jones of North Carolina and Viola Kittridge of Worcester; eight grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren.

She was the wife of the late Peter A. Polastri and the sister of the late Russell Duquette,Henry Duquette, Harvey Duquette, Dorothy Boutlier, and Joyce Noel.

A funeral Mass was said Monday in St. Mary's Church of Franklin. Burial was in St. Mary's Cemetery in Milford.

Anton Beranyk; was GM worker

NATICK -- Anton Beranyk, an assembly-line worker, died Feb. 2 at Norwood Hospital. He was 88.

Mr. Beranyk was born in Poninka, Ukraine, and had been a Natick resident for the past 55 years.

For 30 years, Mr. Beranyk worked for the General Motors Corp. in Framingham.

A staunch Democrat, Mr. Beranyk was a member of the AFL-CIO United Auto Workers. He was also a member of the former Framingham General Motors bowling league. He was an avid gardener and Red Sox fan who enjoyed fishing and working on his house.

Mr. Beranyk leaves his five children, Valentine of Natick, Herman of Manchester, N.H., Adele Jacques of Natick, Marie of Natick, and Tony of Murrieta, Calif.; five grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren. Mr. Beranyk was the husband of the late Olena (Savitski) Beranyk.

Services were held Feb. 7 in the John Everett and Sons Funeral Home in Natick. Burial was in Dell Park Cemetery.

Mitchell Wilhelm; was GM worker

MEDWAY -- Mitchell Anton Wilhelm, a corporal under the American occupation in Germany after World War II, died Feb. 2 at the Medway Country Manor nursing home. He was 78.

Mr. Wilhelm was born in Brzeziny, Poland, and had lived in Medway for the past 55 years. He arrived in the United States after World War II.

Before his retirement, Mr. Wilhelm worked at General Motors in Framingham for 25 years. He previously had worked at Packard Mills in Bellingham.

Mr. Wilhelm was a member of the former Polish-American Club in Medway and was a communicant of St. Joseph's Church in Medway. He also was an avid gardener and carpenter.

Mr. Wilhelm leaves his wife, Joan L. (Piascik); a son, Stanley J. of Medway; a daughter, Helena J. Wilhelm-Burke of Medway; two sisters, Stefania Kowalczyk and Angia Zagrodnik, both of Poland; five grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews. He was the brother of the late Sofia Wicher, Zygmunt Wilhelm, Jan Wilhelm, and Josef Wilhelm.

A funeral Mass was said Saturday at St. Joseph's Church in Medway. Burial was in St. Joseph's Cemetery in Medway.

Neil Lloyd Zais, 68, real estate investor

SHERBORN -- Neil Lloyd Zais, who established a successful real estate investment firm, died Jan. 15 at his home in Sherborn. He was 68.

A native of Fall River, Mr. Zais graduated from Durfee High School and attended Boston University. He later attended Bentley College.

Mr. Zais's entrepreneurial skills led him to a career in the real estate field. He started Equity Property and Investments Ltd., which ventured into the acquisition and development of retail and office space, as well as resort and residential communities. While concentrated in the Northeast, these ventures have expanded across the country. Mr. Zais also was a partner, with his son, Kenneth, in O'Brien and Levine Court Reporting Services of Boston.

Mr. Zais leaves his wife, Marcia (Greenstein); three sons, Gerald of Braintree, Kenneth of Holliston, and David of Westborough; many grandchildren; and one niece. Mr. Zais was the brother of the late Joel Zais and Arnold Zais.

Services were held Jan. 18 at the Stanetsky Memorial Chapels in Brookline. Burial was private.
