When Maureen Connolly opened her art gallery in Hingham in 1989, she never imagined paintings of her Irish homeland would draw much interest. But she quickly realized she was surrounded by Irish-Americans who had left Boston to settle in suburbs to the south. Pastoral paintings of the Irish countryside proved to be among her best sellers.
