Walden Pond has some scary ones

Just a quick note to let you know, I was snorkeling in Walden Pond in June and saw a huge koi. Even accounting for the fact that everything looks 25 percent bigger in water, this thing was at least 3 1/2-feet long, maybe bigger. Bright orange, no question a giant koi. I was at the far end of Walden Pond. I must admit, seeing the huge fish spooked me momentarily. Darned thing was very large and less than 15 feet away from me.

Upon leaving Walden I approached one of the Walden staff and inquired as to what the heck I could have possibly seen that was huge and bright orange? They let me know that it was a koi.
