Are slots a good bet for Boston?

State lawmakers seem to be lining up to let the good times roll. After years of resisting the call to expand gambling in Massachusetts, a bill to allow slot machines at the state's four racetracks passed the Senate earlier this month by a big margin, 26-9, and slot backers are hoping the House will follow suit.
