Alert issued after assault in Revere lot

A 21-year-old North Shore woman escaped from a man who sexually assaulted her and threatened to kill her at a Revere parking lot Tuesday, and authorities yesterday warned females to be on the alert in and around the Wonderland MBTA station.

Suffolk District Attorney Daniel F. Conley said the woman was attacked around 8:50 a.m. Tuesday after she parked her car in the overflow lot on and was walking toward the Blue Line station. A man got out of a nearby car, pinned her against another vehicle, and forced her to perform a sexual act, Conley said.

The woman told police she managed to break free and started shouting for help. Her attacker got back in his car and headed south on Route 1A, Conley said.

The attacker was described as a cleanshaven black man in his 20s or 30s, between 5 feet 7 and 5 feet 9 inches tall and about 175 pounds. He was wearing a Red Sox cap, white tank top, baggy jeans, and tan workboots.

Police are looking for a two-door black Honda Accord hatchback with a patch of gray paint over the rear passenger-side wheel well. Anyone with information is asked to call Revere Police at 781-286-8341.
