Show heralds renovation and change at Medfield's Zullo Gallery

Four Boston-area artists show their work in ''Geography of Transition," the winter show at the Zullo Gallery.

Medfield resident Stephen Luecke presents his intimate still lifes, while Nancy Deveno exhibits vibrant oil paintings.

Cindy Matchett has created the title piece, which is the first installation ever shown in the gallery. It invites viewers to become active participants by walking through a lantern-shaped construction in a piece Matchett created after researching international cultures.

The show also features fiber art by Jamaica Plain weaver Jane Moore.

The diverse mediums and styles represented in the exhibit herald the gallery's imminent renovation and transformation into a year-round, fully staffed art center.

The exhibit runs through Jan. 29 at 456A Main St., Medfield. It is open Saturday, noon-5 p.m. For information, call 508-359-3711 or visit www.zullogallery.org.
