It's a magical tale beloved by all ages, and the Wellesley Players are offering another chance to enjoy it. The theater troupe's production of ''The Wizard of Oz" opens this weekend, with 14-year-old Talene Monahon playing Dorothy. The cast is filled out by area actors and more than a dozen children as the Munchkins. The heart of the story remains the same, but the show does have a few twists. It includes a comic scene with the Wicked Witch and two of her witch friends, as well as a jitterbug scene that was cut from the movie. Performances on March 18, 24, and 25 at 8 p.m.; also on March 19 and 26 at 2 p.m. at Babson College, Sorenson Center for the Arts, Wellesley. Tickets $19-$22. 781-237-8114, www.wellesleyplayers.org.
