Former defense lawyer F. Lee Bailey lost another legal battle yesterday when a federal court rejected an appeal of his 2003 disbarment for allegedly misusing a client's $6 million in stock.
The First US Circuit Court of Appeals ruled that Bailey did not deserve another hearing to present ``new evidence" that federal attorneys gave conflicting testimony about Bailey's handling of his client's assets.
The judges ruled that ``there was adequate proof of misconduct" and holding another hearing would be ``extraordinary."
Bailey has represented clients including O.J. Simpson and Patricia Hearst in a legal career that spans four decades.
