The American Red Cross is seeking blood donors as it deals with an unanticipated shortage across New England. Red Cross spokeswoman Donna Morrissey said there is less than a one-day supply of certain blood types for area hospitals. By comparison, she said the agency tries to maintain a three-day supply.
