SoftRight hires lead engineer

SoftRight LLC of Westford, which provides software for municipal management, has hired Susan C. Fraser of Groton as a lead applications development engineer. She previously worked in a similar position for Deluxe Corp., also of Groton.

Facility to offer renal dialysis
Next month, Saints Medical Center of Lowell will open a $2.5 million, 15,000-square-foot renal dialysis center off Research Park Drive that will serve kidney patients in the Lowell area. Dr. Douglas Mesler is the center's medical director. The 181-bed hospital has some 400 physicians and 1,500 full- and part-time employees.

Linear Air debuts very light jet
Concord-based Linear Air recently logged its first flight with an Eclipse 500 very light jet, departing from Bedford's Hanscom Field for Philadelphia Northeast Airport. Linear Air "is the first air-taxi service in the Northeast to offer service" on this new class of jet aircraft, said chief executive Bill Herp, adding that he expects to have a fleet of 30 VLJs within two years. His small, charter airline also offers service on turboprop planes.
