A convicted child rapist listed on the Massachusetts' 10 Most Wanted Sex Offender List has been arrested in New Hampshire, days after first appearing on the registry.

Derek Boisvert, 25, was taken into custody in Hampton yesterday on a statutory rape warrant issued in Middlesex Superior Court.

He also had an outstanding warrant for failing to register as a sex offender issued in Lowell District Court.

According to the Massachusetts State Police Violent Fugitive Apprehension website, Boisvert was convicted of rape and abuse of a child in 2001 and sentenced to two years in state prison.

He was listed as a Level 3 sex offender, considered the most likely to reoffend.

Massachusetts State Police say Boisvert was tasered during yesterday's arrest after he allegedly resisted officers.
