Chemical-free lawn care workshop: A "Healthy Lawn Healthy Family" chemical-free lawn care workshop will be March 19, 7 p.m., at Lynnfield Town Hall, 55 Summer St. Organized by Lynnfield Pesticide Awareness and the Conservation Commission. Step-by-step instructions provided on how to transition to an organic lawn and garden. Topics include the risks of using traditional lawn and garden chemicals and easy alternatives to those chemicals, soil testing, re-seeding, organic fertilizers, and natural pest and weed control. Diabetes support group: Hallmark Health offers a free Diabetic Support Group to give diabetics an opportunity to share their personal experiences, ideas and concerns with others. Facilitated by the Hallmark Health Diabetes Team, the support group features Hallmark Health guest speakers including physicians, endocrinologists, ophthalmologists, podiatrists, and representatives from nutrition and the pharmacy. Good Friday Walk: The churches of Saugus will gather at Breakheart Reservation, 177 Forest St., on March 21, 10:30 a.m., to walk the path of the cross. The Good Friday Walk begins at the visitors' center gate. Along the way to the beach there will be songs, drama, and Scripture readings. Everyone welcome to this annual community event.
