MELROSE - Mary E. (Mullen) King, a longtime Melrose resident, died April 26 in the Chelsea Jewish Nursing Home. She was 85.
Born in Everett and raised in Medford, Mrs. King graduated from Medford High School in 1940.
She had lived in Melrose for the past 27 years.
She worked as a saleswoman for Electrolux Vacuum Co. in Malden for more than 25 years.
She was a communicant of Most Blessed Sacrament Church in Wakefield.
She leaves two sons, William of North Reading and Paul of Melrose; a daughter, Kathleen, of New York; a sister, Anne Lyons of Georgia; a brother, William Mullen of New Hampshire; and three grandchildren.
A funeral Mass will be said tomorrow at 10 a.m. in Most Blessed Sacrament Church, Wakefield.
Burial will be in Wyoming Cemetery, Melrose.
Born and raised in Hudson, he graduated from Hudson High School in 1931. He earned a bachelor's degree in technology from Wentworth Institute of Technology in Boston.
Mr. Greeley was in the Army Air Force during World War II, earning the rank of staff sergeant.
Following his discharge in 1945, Mr. Greeley worked at the General Electric River Works plant in Lynn for 42 years as a test planner in the aircraft engine department.
He was a member of the Swampscott Town Meeting, and former president of the Swampscott Little League.
Mr. Greeley was also a communicant of the Central Congregational Church of Lynn.
He leaves his wife of 58 years, Elizabeth Morse (French); four sons, Douglas of Bloomfield, N.J., Stuart and Philip, both of Lynn, and Ronald of Groveland; two sisters, Viola Ross and Mary Elizabeth Fillmore, both of Hudson; and six grandchildren.
A funeral was held yesterday at Brooksby Village Chapel. Burial was in Swampscott Cemetery.
Born and raised in Salem, she graduated from St. Joseph Academy in Salem in 1928.
Mrs. Belleau worked as a medical secretary at Salem Hospital and later as a secretary and receptionist.
She was a communicant of St. Joseph Church in Salem, where she volunteered as a sacristan and eucharistic minister.
The wife of the late Rosario E. Belleau, she leaves three daughters, Colette Sullivan of Peabody and Janice Boucher and Jacqueline Corona, both of Salem; seven grandchildren; and 10 great-grandchildren.
A funeral Mass was said yesterday in St. James Church, Salem. Burial was in St. Mary's Cemetery, Salem.
