Cohasset: A little bug spray and a cool drink is all that is needed for the outdoor concerts at the South Shore Music Circus on Sohier Street. Easton: When it's too hot to play outside, smart kids go to the air-conditioned Children's Museum at the Old Fire Station, 9 Sullivan Ave. On Thursdays at 10:15 a.m., there are drop-in activities and the museum has something for ages 10 and younger to participate in play areas such as storybook cottage, post office, SS Rosemarie, camping exhibit, clinic, and workshops. THEATER

Manomet: After several weeks of rehearsals, acting students at the Priscilla Beach Theatre on Rocky Hill Road at White Horse Beach will enjoy the fruits of their labor as they perform "The Phantom of the Opera," today at 10:30 a.m., and "The Wizard of Oz," with performances on July 11-12 and 18-19 at 10:30 a.m. Details, 508-224-4888, thinktheatre.org.

FESTIVALS, FAIRS

Brockton: Whether you go for the live concerts on three separate stages, the "Hambone Express Pig Racing," or riding the ferris wheel for the best fireworks viewing, the 134th annual Brockton Fair has all the makings for a fun summer night. The fairgrounds on Belmont Street, Route 123, continues through July 13, and features a daily midway of amusement rides, petting farm, livestock displays, "The Magic of Lance Gifford," "B&C Ranch-Adorable Animal Actors," Lucky Bob the Comedic Juggler, and more.

Concerts are held at 8 p.m. to midnight on the 3 stages: Suds and Sounds Stage will feature: Today, All That; July 11, Woot; July 12, Soul'd Out and July 13, ZIPCODE. On the Grandstand stage: July 11-12, Haywire Davinci and on the Pavillion stage: July 13, Split Infinity. Fireworks displays tonight, and July 11 and12 at 10:30 p.m. The fair also features: demolition derby, flat track motorcycle races, live wrestling, amateur boxing, mud bogging, Lucky Bob the Comedic Juggler, and a baby contest. Admission $15 includes parking, walk in: $5 adult, $1, ages 10 and under.
