The Boston Retirement Board says the 71 firefighter disability pension applications pending longer than six months are hung up for a variety of reasons.

31 are waiting for the state to schedule a medical review.

19 are waiting for Boston Retirement Board hearings.

7 are waiting for hearing decisions.

14 are scheduled for votes by the Boston Retirement Board on Monday Aug. 4.
