I am a 20-year resident of South Street in Tewksbury. My parents and I have lived here since 1987.

Krochmal Farm ("Tighter rules for pig farms sought," Globe NorthWest, Aug. 21) has always been a nuisance. The smells coming from there have worsened through the years. I have a disabled son with respiratory issues, and when he gets picked up for school the smell is so raunchy that my son, the bus driver, and I are gagging. There are also the afternoons when he comes home and the smell is there again.

I am extremely grateful to Dave Powers and TewksburyOdor.org for their drive and determination to help those who have been helpless in years past. My friends and family have a hard time enjoying a barbecue when that smell comes - can you imagine having to deal with it on a daily basis?

Sandra Raposo, Tewksbury
