Army Specialist Joel Frias has returned from deployment to Iraq. He is the son of Felicia Frias of Jamaica Plain and a 2006 graduate of South Boston High School.

Army Specialist Robert A. Ventullo has returned from deployment to Iraq. He is the son of Robert F. Ventullo of East Boston.

Army Private Eric A. DePaula has graduated from basic training at Fort Jackson, Columbia, S.C. DePaula is the son of Eufrazia DePaula of Revere and Onofre DePaula of East Boston. The private is a 2000 graduate of the Health Careers Academy.

Army Private Gianna D. Stewart has graduated from basic training at Fort Jackson, Columbia, S.C. Stewart is the daughter of Stella Stewart of Dorchester and a 2005 graduate of Lincoln-Sudbury Regional High School.

Airman Lamont T. Crawford has graduated from basic training at Lackland Air Force Base, San Antonio. He is the grandson of Margaret Crawford and nephew of Sharon Crawford of Boston and a 2006 graduate of Boston Day & Evening Academy.

Airman First Class Jessica Hoerres has graduated with honors from basic training at Lackland Air Force Base, San Antonio. She is the daughter of Daniel Hoerres and niece of Deborah Grimes, both of Dorchester. Hoerres is a 2005 graduate of the Academy of The Pacific Rim.

Airman Peter Bien-Aime has graduated from basic training at Lackland Air Force Base, San Antonio. He is the son of Pierre and Emma Bien-Aime of Somerville and a 2004 graduate of Somerville High School.

Airman First Class Jairo A. Flores has graduated from basic training at Lackland Air Force Base, San Antonio. Flores is the son of Arbella Silva of New Mexico and brother of Christian Flores of Allston.

Marine Private Christopher T. Huenneke graduated from basic training at Parris Island, S.C. He is the son of Eric and Judy Huenneke of Cambridge, and brother of Leah Huenneke of Cambridge and Stephen Huenneke of Somerville. He is a 2008 graduate of Cambridge Rindge and Latin High School.
