Civic beautification fund-raiser: Join the Hamilton Wenham Garden Club for a Civic Beautification fund-raiser Nov. 12 at 7 p.m. at Miles River Middle School, 787 Bay Road. Robin Murphy will present "Quilts in Bloom," demonstrating floral interpretations of contemporary, traditional patchwork- and Victorian crazy-quilting. Her quilts will be exhibited and she will design complimentary floral arrangements to the quilts. Raffles for floral arrangements and holiday trees. Guest fee $5.

North Shore Computer Society presentation: Nov. 13 at 7 p.m., Jeffrey Pearlman will offer a presentation on "Modern Piracy." Pearlman is an adjunct professor of regional geography at Salem State College and Bunker Hill Community College.
