AUDIO: Playing music in the subway
Busker Michael Sullivan, 62, has been playing subway stations and street corners for decades. On a recent Sunday, Sullivan strummed his Fender guitar for travelers waiting on the Red Line platform at Park Street. These audio clips, complete with interruptions from passing trains and automated announcements from the MBTA, show just what Sullivan is up against in the three minutes he says he usually has to "win" a passer-by's heart in the hopes of getting a buck thrown his way.
