Town officials are considering reducing the number of polling places to save money on election days. Selectwoman Clarissa Rowe said a newly formed redistricting committee will explore consolidating the 10 polling locations, perhaps to as a few as three. Marie Krepelka, the Board of Selectmen’s administrator, said it costs the town about $44,000 to operate the 10 polling places for each election. Rowe said reducing the number of locations might not be a popular idea, but the move could be worth it if it would help the town save money and jobs. — Brock Parker![]()
