A professional appraiser will be at Town Hall to inspect antiques in a benefit for the public libraries at 7 p.m. Thursday. Stuart Slavid, an appraiser from Skinner Inc. who regularly appears on PBS’s “Antiques Roadshow,” will verbally appraise one item for each person who contributes $20 for the town’s Robbins and Fox libraries. Spectators can attend the event for $5. Participants are asked not to bring coins, stamps, jewelry, or musical instruments for appraisal. — Brock Parker
