They are three Scituate moms, friends, and survivors of breast cancer. They wrote the funny parts about their experiences in “The MOMologues: Pink Ribbon Overdose’’ to raise money for cancer research. And now Lisa Rafferty, Jane McGovern, and Pam Ahl have been named to Massachusetts General Hospital’s One Hundred, for their efforts. The One Hundred is the hospital cancer center’s annual fund-raiser, which honors 100 people and groups advancing the fight against cancer.

This year’s winners will be honored at a gala June 1 at the Westin Boston Waterfront, hosted by Academy Award winner and Cambridge native Matt Damon. Event cochairs include Teresa Heinz and Senator John Kerry, Jonathan and Patti Kraft, and Stephen and Laura Lang.

“We are deeply honored to be recognized for our efforts to bring healing through shared laughter to other breast cancer survivors and their families,’’ Ahl said.

Past honorees have included the late Elizabeth Edwards and Senator Edward M. Kennedy. Honorees have included scientists, doctors, caregivers, patients, advocates, volunteers, and philanthropists.

“It is incredibly gratifying to be honored alongside so many exceptional individuals and groups who are making a real difference in the lives of cancer patients,’’ McGovern said, with Rafferty adding that the show wouldn’t get the honor “without the talent, commitment, and high profile of our amazing cast.’’

The three South Shore women are sharing the honor with Scituate’s Erica McDermott, who appeared in “The Fighter’’ and has performed in “Pink Ribbon Overdose’’; Ellie Fund executive director Julie Nations; and WCVB-TV’s Bianca de la Garza, Susan Wornick, and Karen Holmes Ward.

“MOMologues’’ was first performed at the Hard Rock Café in Boston in October 2010, then at the Company Theatre in Norwell the following February. The hourlong staged reading raised money for two nonprofit groups that support breast cancer patients, the Ellie Fund and Learn, Live, Love Cancer Outreach.
