Several dogs uprooted by the recent tornadoes have found their way to the MSPCA at Nevins Farm. Two shelters in the Springfield area — the Dakin Pioneer Valley Humane Society and the Thomas J. O’Connor Animal Control and Adoption Center — transferred dogs to the Methuen facility, many of whom are strays or whose owners have been displaced from their homes. Mike Keiley, director of the MSPCA’s Noble Family Animal Care and Adoption Center at Nevins Farm, says that as the first group of dogs find homes, more are expected to come in from affected shelters. To find out about the animals, visit www.mspca.org/adoption or call 978-687-7453, ext. 6101. — Karen Sackowitz
