Woburn
Mayor Scott D. Galvin recently appointed Jerry Lohnes to fill the seat on the Conservation Commission vacated by the retirement of longtime member Richard Cutts. A member of the commission for more than 30 years, Cutts retired from the panel on July 1 to devote more time to his newly established engineering business, according to Galvin. “His experience and his expertise are going to be sorely missed,’’ the mayor said of Cutts, who previously worked for another engineering firm. Galvin said that Lohnes, whose appointment was effective July 1, is “a lifelong Woburn resident who expressed a strong desire to get involved on the Conservation Commission.’’ - John Laidler![]()
