Applicants sought for planning board

The town is seeking applicants to fill three positions on the Planning Board that recently became vacant. Applications are available on the town website, www.hanson-ma.gov, and should be returned to the town administrator’s office by Aug. 1. Philip Lindquist, David Nagle, and Gerard LeBlanc resigned from the Planning Board after Town Planner Noreen O’Toole left to become town planner in Stoughton. O’Toole departed after Town Meeting in May approved a reduction in her weekly hours from 27 to 21, which followed a cut in her hours last year from 35 to 27. Selectmen and the remaining two members of the Planning Board will jointly make the appointments to fill the vacant seats. - John Laidler
