Former town resident Jo Russavage is returning to share her passion for art and nature through an exhibition of her works at the Westboro Gallery. Her show’s title, “Perma-Culture,’’ refers to an agricultural system based in sustainability practices, such as renewable resources that allow human needs to coexist peacefully with nature. Russavage, a horticulturalist who spent 10 years in Australia with the Aborigines, tries to apply perma-culture practices to all aspects of her life, including her art. Her textiles and wall art are made with environmentally friendly materials and minimal waste. They will be featured in the show, which runs until Sept. 12 at the gallery, an artists collaborative at 8 West Main St. Some pieces are available for purchase.
