Garden party

The Nahant Historical Society has scheduled its summer garden party and fund-raiser at Water’s Edge, an estate at 44 Pleasant St., at 2 p.m. Aug. 14. This year’s program celebrates writers who lived in Nahant, including poet Henry Wadsworth Longfellow. Admission is $25 per person and space is limited.
