Accounting help wanted

The town is looking for a finance director and town accountant, a job paying between $90,000 and $107,000 a year, according to a posting on the municipal website, www.hopkinton.org. The position works closely with the town manager, Board of Selectmen, and Finance Committee in planning the $62 million budget for the town of 15,000 residents. The previous finance director, Heidi Kriger, left the post at the end of June after 12 years in the office. Human resources director Maryrose DeGroot said the town also is nearing a decision on hiring a new information technology coordinator.
