MILFORD
Pulitzer Prize-winning journalist Amy Ellis Nutt will be discussing her new book, “Shadows Bright as Glass,” at Cary Memorial Library at 7 p.m. Thursday. The book is about Jon Sarkin, a chiropractor who, after suffering a stroke and undergoing brain surgery, became a different kind of person, one unrecognizable to his family. Eventually he became a successful artist, with his paintings exhibited in galleries around the world, and Nutt’s book explores medical and philosophical questions as well as personal details about Sarkin’s transformation. The free discussion will be held in the large meeting room at the library, 1874 Massachusetts Ave., and seating will be on a first come, first served basis. - Brock Parker![]()
