Girls’ Teams to Watch
Duxbury: The Dragons finished 16-4-2 after falling to Medfield in the Division 2 South final.
Cardinal Spellman: Off a 14-4-2 finish and march to the D2 South quarterfinals, the Cardinals will be the team to beat in the Catholic Central Large.
Oliver Ames: The Tigers have plenty to build on after last year’s 17-2-2 mark and run to D1 South semifinals.
Whitman Hanson: The defending Patriot League champions went 17-0-1 before losing to Silver Lake in the first round of the Division 1 South Sectional.
Norwell: The Clippers are coming off a run to the Division 3 South final and a 17-4-3 mark.
Girls’ players to watch
Mackenzie Hatfield, Whitman-Hanson: With the departure of Samantha Mewis to UCLA, the senior striker (10 goals, 15 assists last season) takes a leading role for Panthers.
Kendall Andrew, Oliver Ames: As a sophomore, the talented forward totalled 23 goals and six assists to power OA to the Hockomock League crown.
Allie Debenedictis, Norwell: The senior striker racked up 33 goals and 14 assists last season.
Morgan Branco, Brockton: The versatile Big Three MVP collected 27 goals while switching between forward and midfield for the Boxers.
