Selectmen reach out

The Board of Selectmen has taken its meetings on the road to give residents an opportunity to speak with the board about their concerns. An Aug. 18 forum at St. Ann by the Sea Church was attended by about 50 people, according to John Hall, chairman of the board. A second forum, dedicated to whatever issues participants want to discuss, will be held this Tuesday from 7 to 9 p.m. at North Community Church, 72 Old Main St., Marshfield Hills. Another session will be held at 7:30 p.m. on Sept. 12 at the Village at Proprietors Green, a senior community, but will be a regular Board of Selectmen’s meeting, so Hall said discussion may address only items on the agenda. - Jennette Barnes
