J. DiChiara & Sons in Saugus is hosting an event Saturday to benefit the Stoneham-based Helping Our Troops Foundation. The event will take place at the company location, 327 Central St. in Saugus, from 9 to 4 p.m. Former Red Sox pitcher Dennis “Oil Can’’ Boyd will be signing autographs between 11 a.m. and 2 p.m. There will be a silent auction and raffle with memorabilia from players such as the Bruins’ Tyler Seguin and the Patriots’ Steve Grogan. Other giveaways include Red Sox tickets, BC football tickets, BU basketball tickets, Boston Blazers tickets, Harvard vs. Princeton football tickets, and gift cards to various restaurants in the area. Free refreshments will be served. All proceeds generated from the event will go directly toward care packages to US troops overseas. -Amanda Stonely
