The Friends of the Winchester Public Library, with the Winchester Historical Society, are scheduled to give a presentation on the domestic architecture of New England at 7 p.m. Oct. 4 at the library on Washington Street.
The focus of the talk is a traveling exhibition, and a recently published book, titled “Drawing Toward Home: Designs for Domestic Architecture from Historic New England.’’ The book showcases drawings depicting architectural styles popular in New England from the late 18th century to the 20th century. The architectural drawings will be featured in a slide show.
Speakers will be Lorna Condon, a curator for the library and archives at Historic New England, and local resident and architectural historian Maureen Meister. Visit www.sanbornhouse.org or contact Rebekah Beaulieu, executive director of the Winchester Historical Society, at 781-721-0135.
