Faire on the Square

The annual Faire on the Square is slated for Saturday from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m., rain or shine. Organizers are expecting about 12,000 people to attend the festival, which will feature numerous performances, food vendors, and family activities spread across four adjoining locations: around and inside Town Hall, behind the Watertown Free Public Library and Boys & Girls Club, and in Saltonstall Park. The fair will also feature the annual apple pie contest, with awards for the best-tasting and best-looking creations by town residents. Bakers need to drop off their pies in the Town Hall foyer by 11 a.m. Saturday. The judging begins at 11:30 a.m. Visit www.faireonthesquare.org for more information. - Megan McKee
