New school leader

When students arrived at Hill View Montessori Charter Public School last month, they were greeted by a new executive director. Former Groton public schools administrator Ruthann Goguen is now at the helm, serving as Hill View’s third executive director. She succeeds former Hill View director Janet Begin, whose departure in August was prompted by staff complaints about her management style. Goguen had previously served as the district administrator of curriculum and accountability in Groton. A search committee that included parents, staff, and trustees reviewed nearly 50 applications before naming Goguen to the post.
