War memorial on Town Meeting warrant

The Board of Selectmen has scheduled a Special Town Meeting for Nov. 8. Articles that are expected to be on the warrant include one concerning the proposed War Memorial (approving the design and determining how much of the car barn lot will be dedicated for the monument); a proposed Community Preservation Fund appropriation for the archiving of historic books in the town clerk’s office; consideration of an extended lease for the Iron Rail soccer fields; and authorization to adopt a mutual aid system for the town’s Board of Health, according to Town Administrator Jeff Chelgren.
