On Nov. 12, Civil War reenactors will take over the Training Green in Plymouth. The public is invited to watch the soldiers from the 22d Massachusetts Volunteer Infantry go through roll call and inspection when the encampment opens at 10 a.m. Firing demonstrations will take place at 10:30 a.m., 1 p.m., and 2:30 p.m., and reenactors will display and talk about their 19th-century attire during two “fashion shows’’ at 11:45 a.m. and 2 p.m. The day will wrap up at 3:30 p.m. with a closing ceremony and salute to the real-life soldiers from Plymouth who fought in the Civil War so many years ago. The event is being held to commemorate the 300th anniversary of the Training Green and the 150th anniversary of the start of the Civil War. - Emily Sweeney![]()
