Stoneham
A Congress Street home was demolished last week after a three-alarm blaze destroyed the structure early Monday. No one was injured in the fire, which began about 4:30 a.m., according to Stoneham Fire Chief Joseph Rolli, who noted that several area fire departments responded to calls for mutual aid after the second and third alarms sounded. The half-dozen people who were living in the house have had to find other housing. According to Rolli, the origin of the fire is not suspicious in nature, and the homeowner did not have insurance for the house. - Brenda J. Buote ![]()
