The Lifelong Learning Lecture Series, a collaboration between the Framingham Public Library and Framingham State University, continues its fall programming Thursday with the first in a two-part lecture series on Adolph Hitler’s rise to power. Boston College professor emeritus John Heineman will give the talk, which focuses on the years 1923 to 1933 and features a large collection of propaganda posters to show how the Nazis tried to appeal to Germans. The lecture runs from 7 p.m. to 8:30 p.m. in the library’s main branch, 49 Lexington St. The second lecture will be Nov. 3 and focuses on Hitler’s seizure of power in 1933 and 1934. Visit www.framinghamlibrary.org or call 508-532-6347 for more information on the series. - Megan McKee
